June 2015: Challenge #3: Java Programming

Dear Learner,

This month, I’m taking on a slightly different format. Last challenge took place from April to May, 2 months total. 2 college classes, 6 credits.

Now, I’m going to compress this further: 1 month, 1 class, 3 credits.

I feel intuitively compelled to compress these challenges. Perhaps it’s because of my restless nature and need to constantly have new challenges. Whatever the case, I look forward to a more immersive dive into one class for the month of June!

Java Programming

Luck is something that I have, and timing is also something that I’m good at. Wouldn’t you know? My college, Excelsior, just added a new exam: Introduction to Java Programming!

You know Joshua Lipovetsky is gonna go for Java!

I just ordered Head First Java, and I’ll be working through this book! I’m not going in blind, though; I’ve been studying Java on my own for the past month or so. Let’s go!

Breakthrough Rapid Reading

I’ve been working through the Breakthrough Rapid Reading book since January, and I will continue! I’m about halfway through the book, and I will continue posting my speed charts. Overall, it’s been an OK experience. I can’t judge until I finish the book, though. Maybe I’ll transform into some speed reading champion by the end of it!

Thanks for the love, brother. I’ve been getting back into writing gear as of late 🙂
