Hello, Dear Reader,
As Q4 2014 draws to a close, the challenge that I issued to myself this quarter has been completed. If you recall, I gave myself a rather light assignment:
Complete the following courses:
1. Principles of Management – Saylor Academy – BUS208 (3 credits)
2. Principles of Marketing – Saylor Academy – BUS203 (3 credits)
As for the Principles of Management Course, I received a 75% on the final exam.
As for the Principles of Marketing Course, I received a 68% on the final exam.
Why the abysmal results?
I am constantly amazed at the Justice principle at work in education. You get what you put in. When it comes to self-study, you cannot go around this principle.
Due to many lifestyle factors, I started doing coursework for both of these courses in December. I sprinted through the material without taking any notes.
Little surprise that I did so poorly on the exams.
This has been quite a dark hour for me in my educational journey. I am used to getting A’s and B’s on much more difficult courses.
Life has tested me in greater ways than I have imagined, and these results are dishonorable to what I plan to accomplish in the world.
All I can do at this point is to meditate, find my center, regroup, and yet again have another go at this worthwhile quest of education.
I am still in the red zone, but see me rise.
